TFA SECOND SATURDAY TOURS ARE BACK!
2nd Saturday | THE GOOD TAX: Preservation through Historic Tax Credits
$15 | First tour starts at 9:00 am | Saturday, November 13th
You are invited to Tulsa Foundation for Architecture’s monthly walking tour. Mark your calendar, because TFA Second Saturday Tours feature a different historical area or topic each month. Tulsa has a rich architectural heritage and TFA is passionate about sharing our knowledge with you. Grab your coffee and join in the fun!
November’s tour is THE GOOD TAX: Historic Preservation through Historic Tax Credits. Historic buildings often don’t stand the test of time. As I’m sure you’re aware, crumbling facades, boarded-up windows, and graffiti often detract from a community, bringing neighboring property values down with it. Since its inception, the Historic Tax Credit program has been used to revitalize communities by turning old buildings into viable community spaces. By using Historic Tax Credits for improvements, over 43,000 historic buildings in the United States have been preserved, generating over 2.5 million jobs and leveraging over $144.6 billion in private investments.
On this tour, we’ll share with you just how Historic Tax Credits have impacted Tulsa’s Downtown.
TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets for this tour are $15. We want to do our part to help cultivate the next generation of architecture lovers, so kids 12 and under are always welcome to participate in our tours free of charge.
