2nd Saturday Tours are BACK!!!!
Join us for our monthly architectural walking tour! Each month we feature a different historical area or topic of downtown.
November’s tour will be THE GOOD TAX: Preservation through HTC. Often historic buildings don’t stand the test of time. Crumbling facades, boarded-up windows, and graffiti often detract from a community, bringing neighboring property values down with it. Since its inception, the Historic Tax Credit has been used to revitalize communities by turning old buildings into viable spaces in the community. Over 43,000 historic buildings have utilized the credit for improvements, generating over 2.5 million jobs and leveraging over $144.6 billion in private investment.
On this tour, we’ll look at just how this important tool has impacted Tulsa’s Downtown.
Tickets go on sale to TFA Members via email October 25th, and to the public October 28th via Eventbrite. Not a member yet? Join today at tulsaarchitecture.org/support-tfa.
