We are launching our 4-week series where we go deeper into the history behind 9 Art Deco buildings in Tulsa.
Attend one or all to learn about this celebrated style of architecture.
Over the Top: Terra Cotta City
The first week we will concentrate on two Terra Cotta beauties: the former Minck’s Hotel/Adam’s Hotel now the Adam’s apartments and the Pythian Building.

The second week, Holy Deco, will showcase Boston Avenue United Methodist Church and Christ the King.

Not so Utility Deco: Fancy Fashion for Conservative Use
This will be a discussion of how three utility companies, South Western Bell, Public Service Company of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Natural Gas, embraced Art Deco for their “new” buildings in the 20’s.

Save That Deco!: Lighting a Fire in Renovation!
Finally, we will celebrate Art Deco buildings that were saved through no small efforts as we tour Fire Station 13 and the Fire Alarm Building.
