This fascinating piece, an original drawing of the floor plan for the Jenks Public Library, came to us earlier this month as part of a new collection of drawings from Olsen-Coffey Architects. Founded in 1972, the Tulsa firm’s work included a wide array of prominent buildings across the state, including this and other branch locations of Tulsa City-County Library, Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, Oxley Nature Center, Youth Services of Tulsa, and numerous other businesses, churches, and residences across the city. All of us at TFA would like to thank Roger Coffey for his generous donation of these historic materials.
Each month, we will be highlighting an artifact newly found in our collections—all thanks to the ongoing support of our members.
A portion of membership donations fund the ongoing operations of the TFA Archives, including the work that goes into ensuring that historic documents such as this one are preserved and made available to researchers. Not yet a member? Click here to join now!
