You are invited to Tulsa Foundation for Architecture’s monthly walking tour. Mark your calendar, because TFA Second Saturday Tours feature a different historical area or topic each month. Tulsa has a rich architectural heritage and TFA is passionate about sharing our knowledge with you. Grab your coffee and join in the fun!
January’s tour is THE CHURCH STUDIO: Birthplace of the Tulsa Sound The historic church was turned into a recording studio and home office to Shelter Records in 1972. Under Leon Russell’s leadership, the stone structure served as a creative workshop for songwriters, musicians, engineers, and singers to collaborate, learn, and inspire. In 2019 tour attendees got to peek inside The Church Studio before the planned restoration. Now you get to see the finished product.

TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets for this tour are $20 for not yet members and $15 for members. We want to do our part to help cultivate the next generation of architecture lovers, so kids 12 and under are always welcome to participate in our tours free of charge.

ON TOUR DAY: Please arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in. Tours begin at 9:00 am and continue in 20-minute increments. Consult the bottom of your tickets for your pre-selected departure time. We recommend checking the forecast, dressing for the weather, and wearing comfy walking shoes. You’ll be on foot for this 1.5-hour tour. Tours happen rain or shine!

PARKING: Street parking is available around The Church Studio and is free of charge on Saturdays!
