DESCRIPTION: Join us for the launch of TFA’s newest program, TFA DESIGN TOURS. TFA DESIGN TOURS celebrate creativity in all its forms, going beyond architectural design to explore the diverse world of visual and functional art. TFA DESIGN TOURS focus on different aspect of design—ranging from graphic design to industrial design, pottery, and public art—shedding light on the innovative minds and unique processes behind these creations. Perfect for design enthusiasts and curious minds, this series offers a fresh perspective on how design shapes our daily lives, influences culture, and reflects Oklahoma’s creative spirit.

On our inaugural TFA DESIGN TOUR, you’ll dive into the rich legacy of Frankoma Pottery. This tour will uncover the history, artistry, craftsmanship, and innovation behind this iconic Oklahoma brand. Explore the unique clay sourcing and creative processes that gave Frankoma its signature look, and discover how its functional and decorative designs have captured the spirit of the American Midwest for nearly a century. From beloved dinnerware patterns to rare collector’s pieces, this tour offers a fascinating glimpse into the enduring appeal of Frankoma’s handmade ceramics and their role in Oklahoma’s design history.

PARKING: There is ample free lot parking available.

YOUR TICKET TIME: Please arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in. Please note that you will only be permitted to tour at the time you selected when purchasing your tickets. If you have questions about your ticket time, please email us a minimum of 24 hours in advance at info@tulsaarchitecture.com and we’ll be happy to provide assistance.

SUPPORT INFORMATION: This is a standing/walking tour in a warehouse environment with concrete floors. You’ll be on foot for for aproximately 1 hour with non-existent seating. If it will improve your experience, we encourage you to bring a lightweight stool, walking stick, or other assistive device!

Routes to avoid stairs are planned in advance for those who need an elevator or ramp. The guide will use a personal microphone to enhance hearing ability for all on the tour. You are welcome to move closer to the guide or request a volume adjustment at any time.

ENVIRONMENT: This tour will take place indoors.

TICKET REFUNDS: Refunds are available up to 7 days before a tour. No refunds will be issued within 7 days of the tour date. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be automatically provided.
